The California Energy Commission PIER Program has funded Ecos Consulting and EPRI Solutions to develop a test procedure for battery charger energy efficiency. On Thursday, November 17, the Energy Commission and PG&E held a free one-day workshop at the Pacific Energy Center in San Francisco to discuss the draft test procedure and present energy efficiency data on a wide variety of battery charging products. The workshop also provided opportunities for stakeholders to give recommendations and ask questions about the test procedure.
Even if you were unable to attend the workshop, you can still participate in the test procedure development process. A second draft battery charger test procedure is now available for review and comment, along with presentations from and notes on the workshop. Please submit all comments on the test procedure to sporter@ecosconsulting.com by May 15, 2006.
We encourage your input on the test procedure!
